Adele Postpones Las Vegas Residency Due To Illness

Adele, the award-winning singer-songwriter, has announced that she will postpone her ongoing Las Vegas residency for five weeks due to illness. On February 28, Adele took to social media to share the news with her fans, explaining that she had fallen ill “at the end of the last leg and through my break.” Despite continuing to perform several shows despite the sickness, Adele has since suffered the consequences, forcing her to pause her residency for five weekends’ worth of dates.

Adele revealed that fans will probably have to wait a while before she releases the follow-up to 2021’s ’30’, but she will tour it more extensively than she has done with previous albums. Last month, she confirmed that she would embark on a world tour for her next album cycle. For those who have purchased tickets to Adele’s residency, the singer has confirmed that the postponed dates are March 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, and 30. The singer has apologized to fans for any inconvenience caused and has assured them that she will return to the stage as soon as possible.

Adele wrote.

“I hadn’t quite gotten the chance to get back to full health before shows resumed, and now I’m sick again, and unfortunately, it’s taken a toll on my voice.”

“And so, on doctors’ orders, I have no choice but to rest thoroughly. The remaining five weekends of this leg are being postponed to a later date. We are already working out the details and you will be sent the information ASAP,”

Last year, in late October, Adele shared that she was extending her ‘Weekends With Adele’ residency in Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Initially, the tour was expected to finish in June, but with the newly postponed dates, it might go on even longer.
