Nigerian Afrobeats prodigy, Shallipopi, has just put out a new record, “Shakespopi,” channelling his inner Shakespearean poet.
Shallipopi has had an incredible rise in the Nigerian music scene, becoming a shining star that can be seen for miles around. Within two years, he rose above the ranks of upstarts to claim the top slot, his name now associated with the newest fashions. However, this is only the opening act for Shallipopi. Never one to rest on his laurels, he is restless and full of ambition.
Shallipopi has now made an even bigger breakthrough with his second album, Shakespopi, which he released less than six months after his debut album, Presido La Pluto, cementing his spot in the music industry. The name itself is a lighthearted reference to the parallels that aficionados have made between Shallipopi and the illustrious Shakespeare.

Shallipopi is not working on the project alone; he signed Zerrydl and Tega Boi DC to his own Plutomania Records label and engaged Reehaa’s skills as well.
