Tory Lanez’s Alleged Assault On August Alsina Is Currently Being “Thoroughly Examined” By Prosecutors In Los Angeles

The alleged attack of musician August Alsina by Tory Lanez is being looked into by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.

The reported incident allegedly happened in Chicago on September 17. On September 19, Alsina claimed on Instagram that Lanez had assaulted him after the rapper was refused a handshake. Alsina posted a photo of himself showing his bloodied chin along with a description of the incident.

“Never any disrespectful words were exchanged,” Alsina wrote “so i was a bit confused at how somehow [Lanez] turnt himself up [with] anger.” The post continued: “There was never a ‘fight’! Simply an Assault.”

The Los Angeles District Attorney is currently looking into the post and is also bringing charges against Lanez for allegedly assaulting Megan Thee Stallion with a pistol in 2020. The Los Angeles DA claimed in a statement issued to Rolling Stone that they “are aware of the allegations that the defendant attacked artist August Alsina and are investigating these claims. The allegations are serious and will be thoroughly examined.”

Alleged attack allegedly took place at the Fall Back In Love Comedy & Music Jam event that Alsina and Lanez attended at Chicago’s Arie Crown Theatre. A 30-year-old man was “punched in the face” by another 30-year-old male, according to Chicago Police, as reported by Rolling Stone.
