Drake Wants SZA To “Drop Her Unreleased Songs”

Drake has taken steps to persuade SZA to release a song that she has teased for a while now. Drizzy is hopeful that the “Kill Bill” singer will eventually release a song that she hinted about years ago but hasn’t yet made an official appearance on streaming services. The 6 Gods tweeted a screenshot of the New Jersey singer’s unreleased song “Joni” that a fan had uploaded to SoundCloud on Sunday, January 21, via his Instagram Story. Singer Joni Mitchell served as the inspiration for the track “Joni,” which was initially alluded to in an interview at the beginning of 2020. The song’s album version would have a feature, SZA revealed to fans when she released two different versions of it on SoundCloud and Instagram, respectively, the following year. Nevertheless, she has never formally released the song and has subsequently taken both tracks off the internet.

On his Instagram story,  he wrote,

“My [goat emoji] , please drop this.”

Drake and SZA have been good collaborators and recently worked together on the 2023 hit song “Slime You Out,” which debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 at the time. At first, though, the singer believed Drizzy was attempting to undermine her collaborative effort, as she revealed. In October, the 34-year-old said in a Wall Street Journal interview that she had first delivered Drake a rough version of her verse with the intention of recording it again for the final version. Even though she sent the Canadian celebrity an improved version, the final release still featured her older recordings, and she felt he was trying to ridicule her. Well, surprisingly, it got to number 1.
